Unlock Bootloader (Read-only)

TO LG DEVELOPER TEAM, I THINK YOU SENT ME THE WRONG UNLOCK CODE
thepaolo
I think you sent me the wrong unlock code, you don’t need to patronize me, it is true I had a problem with my previous LG phone but I know what I’m doing, what happened with my previous phone, I did successfully unlock the bootloader, install a custom recovery and root it, the mistake I made at this point and I had the feeling myself I was doing the wrong thing anyway, I used LG Bridge to do a restore based on the previous stock rom on a modified phone and the phone bricked, otherwise I know what I’m doing, I did root my first Samsung Galaxy phone successfully many years ago.
Hence you don’t need to protect me from myself and I would very much appreciate if you were to send me the right unlock code,
thank you very much,
all the best,
Paolo Fiora

Re:TO LG DEVELOPER TEAM, I THINK YOU SENT ME THE WRONG UNLOCK CODE

saved unlock.bin file on desktop, ran string fastboot flash unlock unlock.bin several times, I always get failed, wrong unlock code, it looks like I was sent the wrong unlock code, when I ran the string on a different G5 phone previously, obviously using a previous different unlock.bin file which I did obtain previously I didn't have any problem and I went on to install a custom recovery and root, all went well until I did a stupid thing and I did do a restore done on a stock room on a rooted phone and then the phone bricked
any suggestion very much welcome,
thank you

Re:TO LG DEVELOPER TEAM, I THINK YOU SENT ME THE WRONG UNLOCK CODE

Hello,

We apologize for any inconvenience.

To check your issue, we need more information.
Please send us the following screenshots at developer@lge.com:

1. Settings >> About phone >> Status >> IMEI
2. Settings >> About phone >> Software info
3. After rebooting into fastboot mode on the phone.
4. After entering "fastboot oem device-id" in DOS command window.

And the unlock.bin file you have downloaded is also required.

Thank you.

Re:TO LG DEVELOPER TEAM, I THINK YOU SENT ME THE WRONG UNLOCK CODE

problem solved, I did unlock the bootloader and installed custom recovery and root, what did cause the problem was the fact that I didn't realise that in the adb/fastboot folder there was still an old unlock.bin file relating to a previous phone and I was flashing the wrong unlock.bin with the wrong code, thank you very much for your replay and assistence,
all the best,
Paolo Fiora

Re:TO LG DEVELOPER TEAM, I THINK YOU SENT ME THE WRONG UNLOCK CODE

Hi,
I wonder if I could possibly ask your advice about a different matter, a week ago I made a lg bridge backup using a different g5 phone from the one I'm using now, the phone I used was locked and on a stock rom, the g5 phone I'm using now is a different g5 phone, unlocked with custom recovery and root, do you think that if I were to restore ONLY the personal information from the previous backup, I will run the risk of bricking the phone? It should be all right, but a few days ago I bricked my previous g5 phone by doing something similar,
looking forward to hear from you,
thank tyou,
all the best,
Paolo Fiora

I'm fine, bootloader unlocked, custom recovery and root installed and I'm still able to use LG Bridge,
