Android 7.1......"Force Stop"....this evening.....a mind of its own

Went into settings to erase data on some apps.....
Evertime i opened. To info page of app in settings.....it would force stop it....??
....in a way...it might at times be helpful....ha.
But....i cant errase the settings data to get it to default
