The LG QRemote SDK provides the following new features:
•  Sharing learned IR data
•  Adding a callback method when IR blaster fails
•  Getting information of devices
•  Deleting devices from QRemote
•  Starting registration process for a device in specific categories without category selection phase
•  Adding devices to QRemote
 
Code Changes

•  The LG QRemote library is updated.
    - The IRBlaster class is updated.
    - The IRBlasterCallback interface is updated.
    - The Device class is updated.
    - The DeviceTypes class is added.
    - The LearnedIrData class is added.
 
•  The sample application is updated.
 - A button to send the last learned IR data is added to the main Activity.
  
Known Issues

•  Constraints on Supported Smartphones
   New features only work on a part of LG mobiles. For detailed information, refer to the Supported devices list.
 
•  Constraints by Mobile Device Management
   When Mobile Device Management (MDM) blocks IR features, QRemote APIs are not available. For detailed information, refer to Development Constraints.

•  IR learning
•  Creating new devices with learned IR data

•  The LG QRemote library is updated.

  - The ResultCode class is updated.
 
•  The sample application is updated.
   - The sample application has three more buttons for new features on the main Activity. A fragment for testing learning data is also added.

The Application which was developed using this SDK can control only particular IR(Infrared)-controlled devices. Developers can get the information on controllable device list from QRemote application, which is installed in particular LG smartphones by default. Through this application’s UI, you can see the available device categories such as TVs, DVDs and supported manufacturers such as LG.

New Features

The LG QRemote SDK enables you to develop IR(Infrared) Remote Control applications running on the LG smartphones. These applications allow users to use their smartphones as an IR Remote Controller, which can be applied to various IR-controlled devices such as TVs, DVDs, air-conditioners, etc.
 
The LG QRemote SDK supports the following functions.
•  Transmission of normal IR signal
•  Continuous transmission of IR command
•  Acquiring device list which is registered on LG QRemote application
   - However, you cannot obtain device lists by category.
•  Acquiring device information
   - The list of configured devices
   - The device Brand, Name, Model and category
•  Acquiring function information which the target device provides for IR Remote Control
   - The key type of the function such as PowerKey, ChannelKey, Mute etc
